Paul grew up and was educated in the North East of England. In 1982 he started an indie club in Newcastle, The Soul Kitchen, with Keith Armstrong his long time school friend. This expanded into the Kitchenware Record label, under which they managed a number of successful international artists including Prefab Sprout, The Kane Gang, The Daintees and Hurrah!
In ‘91 Paul swapped music management for music promotion and had seven great years producing and managing ReZerection all night parties within the family partnership. They became leaders in the safe licensing of all night events and Paul was a consultant on the HSE’s “The Event Safety Guide”, more commonly known as the “Pop Code” or “Purple Guide”.
In ’98 it was a natural progression into event and music festival management; T in the Park being the first major project undertaken. Since then he’s worked with all the major UK promoters, producing and managing a wide range of events, concerts and festivals shown in “our work”.
In 2006 he qualified in level 3 Certificate for NEBOSH Occupational Health & Safety at Sunderland University and recently completed the level 6 Diploma which enables Health and Safety consultancy at all levels.
