With Creamfields 2012 being cancelled due to horrendous weather conditions, APL Event were brought in to do the site management as they done prior to 2012.
With the cancellation Live Nation and Cream had to do major works on the site so that if the conditions of 2012 were ever to return then the site and the festival would have the best chance of holding up.
Included in these works was an investment of £500,000 into the drainage of the arena fields and some of the campsite fields. The crossings from the campsite to the arena were also improved a temporary bridge erected and the culverts upgraded to withstand the levels of water associated with a 1 in 100 year storm, and if they ever overflow I think the rest of Cheshire would be underwater.
The festival was a huge success with The Prodigy, Avicci, Tiesto, and David Guetta headlining the two main stages. And for the first year in a long time the weather was glorious with the sun beating down on the ravers.
APL Event looks forward to a hopefully sunny August bank holiday in 2014.
