We first got involved with Bestival in 2003 where it was small boutique festival. We have seen the festival blossom into one of the major music festivals in the country.
We are very proud of the work that we do with Bestival as it is one of our most challenging shows, with the number of attractions across the whole site that need diligent management. The topography of the land also throws up a few issues, with it lying in a valley. In 2008it rained and rained and rained. On that show we consulted with landowners and devised a solution that kept the event open and safe for the public, and even though everyone got extremely muddy the kids still loved and next year’s show sold out easily. The fact that Bestival is held on the Isle of Wight can cause some logistical issues. This is where our close attention to detail of specifications for the show is extremely important. This is due to the difficulty of getting extra ‘kit’ over to the island on the ferries, and we keep a close eye on all the equipment that is used on the show to make sure that we do not fall into the worst case scenario.
We also love the client’s creativity and their attention to detail on the aesthetics at Bestival because it is like walking into a dream world at times!
