Back in Febuary this year Paul was asked to be the liaison between the promoter, Live Nation, and the Chinese when they wanted to bring their version of the opera Turandot that has previously been stage at the Birds Nest, Beijing. The Event was going to be staged at Wembley Stadium in June 2012, directed by Zhang Yimouthe director of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games 2008.
In the early stages of this project Paul flew out to Beijing to discuss how this was going to be done with the Chinese. He and other industry professionals from the UK quickly learnt that this was not going a straight forward job, with the stage being an extremely complicated part of this. In the end the show didn't go ahead with the Chinese pulling out at the elenth hour due to fiancial implications. However Paul once again enjoyed his time over in China meeting new and old friends.
